May 2, 2013, Billerica, MA — EMD Millipore, the Life Science division of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, and W.L. Gore & Associates, Inc. announced today the settlement of patent infringement disputes between EMD Millipore and Gore in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and United States District Court for the District of Delaware.
Gore has agreed to take a limited royalty-bearing license under U.S. Patent Nos. 7,293,744 and 7,927,316 and U.S. Reissue No. RE41,169, and their counterparts internationally in connection with its STA-PURE Fluid Sampling Systems and assemblies, Crimp and Cut tools, and STA-PURE Single Use Valve Systems and assemblies.
