Generate pure genomic DNA, ready for shearing and library prep. Sixteen micrograms of genomic DNA was purified from 25 mg of mouse heart tissue using the PureGenome™ Tissue DNA Extraction kit. Lane 1: 0.1-12 kbp DNA ladder; lane 2: mouse heart genomic DNA. A260/A280 ratio was 1.8. B. DNA shown in (A) was used to generate an Illumina sequence-compatible NGS library; DNA was first sheared using a Covaris® S220 Ultrasonicator to an average size of 200 bp (red trace). Two microgram of the sheared DNA was used to generate the NGS library using the PureGenome™ NGS Library Preparation Reagents (blue trace).
Choose the  for rapid isolation of total DNA from a variety of solid tissues or the PureGenome™ On-Spot Tissue DNA Kit for extracting DNA from targeted tissue sections (includes formalin fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissues). Furthermore, you can use these kits to process samples of virtually any biological liquids, such as whole blood, plasma, serum or cells from culture.

High-Quality DNA Isolation from FFPE Sample

PureGenome™ On-Spot Tissue DNA Kit was used to isolate total DNA from FFPE tissue sections (normal human liver). An area of ~ 100 mm2 was selected on two human liver FFPE tissue slides. Quantitative PCR was used to detect either a mitochondrial (ND6; purple) or a nuclear-encoded gene (BECN1; blue) from the DNA isolated using the PureGenome™ On-Spot Tissue DNA Kit. Input DNA was 2, 0.2 and 0.02 ng (curves labeled 1, 2 and 3, respectively).
