DescriptionAnti-SRp75 Antibody
Alternate Names
  • serine/arginine-rich splicing factor 4
  • splicing factor, arginine/serine-rich 4
  • SR splicing factor 4
  • Pre-mRNA-splicing factor SRP75
Background InformationSRp75, also known as Serine/arginine-rich splicing factor 4, is an essential splicing factor that is a member of the SR family of proteins. This protein is a component of the pre-mRNA splicing complex and is believed to play a role in alternative splice site selection. Consistent with this excess levels of SRp75 have been shown to play a role in alternative splicing of CD45. SRp75 is normally found in the nucleus and is known to be hyperphosphorylated at serine residues in its RS domain.
