ApplicationAnti-Serotonin Antibody, clone YC5/45 is an antibody against Serotonin for use in IH.
Key Applications
  • Immunohistochemistry
Application NotesImmunohistochemistry at 1:100-1:200 for formaldehyde fixed tissue.

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.
Biological Information
ImmunogenSerotonin conjugated to BSA.
CloneYC5/45
ConcentrationPlease refer to the Certificate of Analysis for the lot-specific concentration.
HostRat
SpecificityRecognizes the formaldehyde conjugate of serotonin. Without paraformaldehyde treatment, it cross-reacts in liquid phase with dopamine and tryptamine in hemagglutination tests. Shows no reactivity with catecholamine-containing neurons in formaldehyde fixed preparations. MAB352 reacts with serotonin in neurons and recognizes serotonergic sites in fixed tissue sections. By cell agglutination, no cross reactivity with 5-hydroxyindolacetic acid, GABA, noradrenaline, 5-hydroxytryptophan, carnosine or melatonin.
