DescriptionAnti-TMEM106B Antibody, clone TME-N 6F2
Alternate Names
  • Transmembrane protein 106B
  • TMEM106B
Background InformationTransmembrane protein 106B (TMEM106B) is a single-pass type II membrane protein present in endosomal and lysosomal membranes, and is highly expressed in the frontal cortex. Increased TMEM106B expression in the brain may be linked to mechanisms of disease in frontotemporal lobar degeneration with TAR DNA-binding protein (TDP-43) inclusions (FTLD-TDP). Frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD) is the second most common cause of presenile dementia.
