What makes the ReadyPlate 55 such an important and innovative product? Let’s take a look at its design.
As its name suggests, these agar plates have a 55mm diameter, much smaller than the common 90mm plates. The small size makes a huge difference: they are more easily stored. The plates can also be filled to the very top with no problem; their positioning and size make membrane removal easier than ever, thus reducing the risk of handling mistakes and false positives. In addition, storage becomes more flexible since the majority of media types can be stored at room temperature, saving you the effort and energy of refrigeration.
Our special design also helps increase safety during handling, transport and incubation. The plates are lockable and stackable and, even if they do fall, mold spores will not be released into the environment, making cross contamination nearly impossible.
