Sodium Sulfate is routinely used in organic sample preparation for environmental residue analysis. It has the ability to absorb and release polar solvents cleanly and efficiently without reacting with most oxidizing or reducing agents at room temperature. This makes it ideal for removing the residual water from extraction solvents without adding interfering contaminants.
