      Alternate Names
      • DNA repair protein XRCC1
      • X-ray repair cross-complementing protein 1
Background InformationDNA repair protein XRCC1 (X-ray repair cross-complementing protein 1) is involved in the efficient repair of DNA single-strand breaks formed by exposure to ionizing radiation and alkylating agents. XRCC1 interacts with DNA ligase III, polymerase beta and poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase to participate in the base excision repair pathway. It may play a role in DNA processing during meiogenesis and recombination in germ cells.

      Key Applications
      • Western Blotting
      • Immunoprecipitation
Application NotesWestern Blotting Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected Xrcc1 in HepG2 cell lysate.

Western Blotting Analysis: A representative lot from an independent laboratory detected Xrcc1 in HEK293T, HeLa and MEF cell lysates (Lee, Y., et al. (2009). Nature Neurosci. 12:(8):973-980.).

Immunoprecipitation Analysis: A representative lot from an independent laboratory detected Xrcc1 in HEK293T, HeLa and MEF cell lysates (Lee, Y., et al. (2009). Nature Neurosci. 12:(8):973-980.).
