A microtubule-binding molecule that induces reversible fission of multinucleated myotubules into mononucleated fragments. Induces changes in the expression levels of genes implicated in extracellular matrix remodeling, inflammation, coagulation, signal transduction, and cell communication such as those seen in the wounding response of fibroblasts.
