FAQ
Question | Answer |

Is there a sidedness associated with nylon membranes? | The 0.8um nylon membrane, part number ANWP02500 and ANWP04700 do have a slightly asymmetrical pore structure. However, unlike the ultrafiltration, Express and Express Plus membranes there are no shiny vs. dull side associated with the nylon membranes. For “sidedness” orientation, the top of the membrane consists of the larger pore, by placing the membrane in the same orientation as it comes in the box with the larger pore size facing top, you can take advantage of this difference for your specific application. Please note, for most applications orientation will not affect the performance of the membrane. |
