PharmPrep™ P Sorbent

High Performance Spherical Silica for Efficient Peptide Purification

PharmPrep™ P is a spherical, porous silica sorbent available in two particle sizes: 10 and 20 μm for preparative liquid chromatography (LC). With a pore diameter of 100Å (10 nm), these sorbents fit perfectly into the polishing step of small peptides like insulin, and other biopharmaceutical and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) like antibiotics and hormones.

PharmPrep™ P sorbents are characterized by:

  • Uniform and homogenous silica gel matrix with excellent batch-to-batch reproducibility over many column packings
  • Narrow particle size distribution for high performance and high productivity in small peptide purification processes
  • Reproducible specific surface area and pore size distribution
  • Low back pressure
  • Enhanced mechanical stability for long sorbent life-time

Superior polishing of insulin

PharmPrep™ P sorbent demonstrates a perfect separation of insulin and the main impurities desamido-insulin. Using PharmPrep™ P sorbent in your polishing step, an outstanding insulin purity of 99.8% can be achieved.
